Each day, families in Gaza face the grueling heat, searching for a source of clean water. The ongoing conflict has devastated the infrastructure, leading to a severe blockade. Electricity shortages halt the operation of desalination plants and wells, and fuel scarcities leave water trucks idle. The intense summer heat escalates the demand for drinking water, yet many residents are left with no choice but to consume salty and contaminated water, heightening the risk of disease and desperation. Echoing the wisdom of the Prophet Muhammad, peace be upon him, we remember, “The best charity is giving water.” (Narrated by Imam Ahmad).
